From the third year every class of the HAK is run as a notebook class, i.e. every pupil works in many subjects with the own notebook – at school as well as at home. Therefore every pupil with a notebook at school has internet access to learn the accurate handling with this medium.

Notebook classes starting in the third year at the HAK

In all notebook classes the desks are equipped with network outlets. Thereby one can access the class-internal network as well as the school network and the Internet.

Within the scope of the MSDN Academic-license program, pupils with notebooks receive operating systems, for example Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, as well as numerous user programs for the application in education for free, e.g., Visio 2010, Project 2010, SQL server 2008 R2 and Visual Studio 2010. At favorable conditions other programs can be licensed, e.g., MS Office 2010 within the scope of the Fit-for-the-Future-Action of the ministry of education. For the acquisition of the notebook approx. 400-700 EUR have to be budgeted at the beginning of the third year.
